It's Been Awhile ...

Winchester (Winchester Mystery House)

Winchester? As in Winchester rifles? The Gun that won the West? Yeah... that's it exactly! I download the Winchester Mystery House from Amariswiccan ... then created the family to go inside!



In real life, William Winchester (heir to Winchester fortune) married Sarah and they ended up having a daughter together, Annie. Annie died and they were grief stricken. Not long after, William died, leaving Sarah all alone. She was told by a psychic that the deaths of her daughter and husband was punishment for all the deaths the rifles caused (like a curse on the family) ... and Sarah was instructed to move to California and build a house, and never stop building, and that would please the spirits.

Well in SIMS world, they still died, but she fed them Ambrosia in her grief, and to keep the spirits at bay, she built the house... William and Annie are both alive still, so the plan must have worked, and Annie had a one night stand with some guy resulting in a pregnancy and ended up having a daughter naming her Ariel.

Amesome Mod!

Have you decided to use CHEATS in your SIMS 3 game??? Does "Motherlode" and "Katching" mean anything to you ....... are you seeking out more things to boost your game? Do you get annoyed that you can't switch between households in your town without losing WANTS and things in your backpack? Do you do the slide bar cheat to keep your SIMS tip-top happy and want to have more then 8 people in your house because you get attached to them? And so much more!!

I have browsed forums and such and heard "Awesomemod" be mentioned more then once, people boasting about how AWESOME it is......

Is it truly that awesome?

So I have to check it out. But I can't find a link anywhere!! FINALLY I found one....... this is where you get Awesomemod ... and here is where you configure it ... be sure you follow the directions on the site (you have to remove a file) in order for it to work. It has A LOT of cool features to choose from! You can read about some of them in the manual.

I had to download it and try it out (who am I kidding? Wolf did it for me) ... and I have to say that I love it. Not only can my SIMS still get pregnant (yes I love to knock them up) after the house is full (sometimes I have 2 families living in one house, I hate to move them out because I get attached to them) ... but it automatically puts the cheat code in so all you have to do is do whatever cheaty little action you want to simplify your game. You can also switch between households without losing anything (wishes, items in the backpack) ... I know, I had to try that one out! You can also set it up so other SIMS in town progress in jobs, and skills and such ... there are just a ton of cool features I wish were "regular" options on the EA game naturally!

The Lutz Family (Amityville Horror)

The Lutz Family .... are you scratching your head, going ... that sounds familiar but... I can't place it.... seriously? Here is a reminder.....

The Amityville Horror.......... one of the most widely known ghost stories in America. The Lutz family was terrorized by ghosts (or Demons) in their dream home. Movies have been made, books written.. not necessarily in that order... The family consisted of George Lutz who had recently married Kathleen and become and instant family with her children from a previous marriage, Daniel who was 9, Christopher who was 7, and Melissa "Missy" who was 5. They learned that there had been a mass murder in the house, Ronald DeFeo Jr. had killed not only his parents, but his 4 siblings as well, in that house, just a few years before. The book and movie added a lot of dramatic "facts" ... including of George Lutz going crazy and trying to kill his wife, step-children and actually killing the family dog because he thought it was a demon. There is an Amityville Horror site HERE which has interviews with George Lutz, who passed away May 8th 2006. I haven't listened to the interviews but I would be interested to hear what the real story is.

The Park Maze

I love hedge mazes - they are so fun and cool looking, so why not a whole park designed with one? It's a 40x30 lot with the full maze and special areas inside.

First there is the entrance with the pond, benches and visable garden
There is a little playground
A picnic and grilling area
And the fountain with 4 chess sets
I had a lot of fun creating it, hope it's enjoyed!

Claire Mansion

I have to admit, in Sunset Valley, I really love anywhere that I can get a great view of the lighthouse. It's so pretty at night. So of course, I had to take over the address (500 Sunnyside Blvd) where the Wolff House had been and build another great house. This was the first house that I created with a basement, and it's not easy.

So here is a tour of the house from the bottom up...

We have a collection area down here for all the iron and silver and gold ore & bricks after they are smelted, not to mention those massive space rocks and all the sparkly gems!
There is also a little Den area where there is a island with some stools, a juice bar, couch, tv, games ...
